This page explains what data SET Solver ("the app", "we") processes when you use the Live Scan and Scan a Photo features, and for how long.

1. Who is responsible for this app

The app is published by Clovis PACCOU, based in France. Contact: paccou.fr@gmail.com.

2. What we process

The app processes only the images you actively provide, in two ways:

• Live Scan: a single photo is taken when you tap "Take Picture." It is sent to our server to detect the cards on the board and calculate valid Sets, then the result is sent back to your device.
• Scan a Photo: a photo you upload or take with your camera is sent to our server for the same analysis, then discarded.

We do not require an account, and we do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or other identifying information through the app's features themselves.

3. How long we keep it

Images are processed to produce a result and are not stored persistently:

• Uploaded/captured photos are saved to a temporary file on the server only for the duration of the analysis, then deleted immediately afterwards.
• Live Scan frames are processed in memory and are never written to disk.
• Camera settings (resolution, quality, etc.) are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device — we never receive them.
• When you upload/drop an image, it is briefly held in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) only to hand it off between pages on your device, and is cleared right after.

Logs data

• Server logs are retained for a maximum of 15 days, they are including connection timestamps, IP address, requested content and userAgent.
• Our hosting provider, OVH Cloud, may keep standard technical server logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and operational purposes

4. Where your data goes

Our server is located in the United Kingdom. As the app is operated from France, this involves a transfer of data outside the EU/EEA. The UK benefits from an adequacy decision from the European Commission, which permits this transfer without additional safeguards. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes, and the app does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Legal basis

We process images on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the service you requested (analyzing the board you chose to submit), for the strict duration needed to do so.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Since we do not retain your images or associate them with an identity, most of these rights have limited practical scope, as we typically have nothing left to act on shortly after your request completes. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at www.cnil.fr, or with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) given the hosting location.
